What are next steps?
We start with a complimentary phone consultation where you get a chance to discuss some of your presenting concerns in greater detail and see if we make a good fit.
The next step is setting up your first appointment! We call this session “the information gathering session”. This session is about 50min and is a time where you and your therapist will begin to build rapport, identify your concerns and create an individualized treatment plan.
For children & Adolescence your Treatment is typically a mix of individual sessions for the child/teen, family sessions as needed, and parent sessions for strategies. The length of treatment can vary, and you and your child's therapist will work together to determine the best plan for your family.
what is your approach?
We have a very creative approach to counseling. We blend traditional talk therapy with holistic and alternative techniques. Our therapeutic approach is eclectic, and we utilize a wide range of evidenced based therapeutic modalities to help you reach your goals. Each therapist slightly differs in their specialties however, every therapist in the practice is highly intuitive and empathic.
what are your credentials?
Each therapist in the practice holds as Masters level degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. We also have added certifications in hypnosis, addiction counseling, EFT, Yoga and Alternative therapies.
How much will therapy cost?
Sessions are typically 45-55minutes in length with fees ranging from $150-$250 depending on the therapist you see.
For small group counseling, sessions are typically 45 minutes with fees ranging from $25-$50 depending on the group. Groups meet for a set number of weekly sessions, usually 8-10 weeks.
Current clients receive the following services as part of their session fee:
Individualized treatment plans updated as needed
Occasional brief phone conversations with your therapist for updates and questions outside of session
Brief phone communication between your therapist and other professionals caring for your child at your request (doctor, psychiatrist, teacher, school counselor, etc.)
Letter to professionals caring for your child regarding treatment goals and progress at your request (doctor, psychiatrist, teacher, school counselor, etc.)
Resources to support your family’s goals and progress
Referral information for other professionals to support your family’s goals and progress (psychiatrist, school counselors etc.)
can i use my insurance?
Sari Klar Mental Health Counseling PC Is in- network with CIGNA insurance. We are out-of-network for all other panels. Many insurance companies will offer partial reimbursement of fees through your out-of-network benefits, and we are happy to provide you with an insurance-friendly receipt for this. You are also welcome to use a Health Savings Account or Flex Spending Account for your payment at the time of service.
If you plan to use insurance, we always recommend calling your insurance company to confirm your benefits and the process for reimbursement.
